I too think that once you deal with the clutter problem, you won’t have to worry so much about the lack of work surface. With less stuff lying around, it is surely going to be easier to find more place for everything.

UTRUSTA Corner base cabinet pull-out fitting from IKEA – I love that feature. I always have to crawl down to where my pots are, something like that would really help…. or a bit of re-organising my cabinets!

So exciting! Your previous owner reminds me a lot of ours: “all fur coat and no knickers”, hahaha! It all looked ok on first glance but if you even just scratch the surface it all falls apart – still, I bet him and they made a good profit and now think they’re very talented developers indeed. Anyway, so exciting about the kitchen remodel and I’m sure it’ll look fabulous afterwards. Happy weekend x

Oh gosh, the previous owner sounds like a nightmare, I wonder what he has gone on to do in his next place! Jo’s suggestions are all good, and I have not really any to add. The only thing I was wondering was was if you could use a hanging system on the hatch wall (above and around the hatch (Ikea FINTORP?) and hang your saucepans etc, as they take up a lot of cupboard space? Best of luck with it all, exciting!
