I’ve used bamboo and cork flooring in my renovation and like to suspect I’m ahead of the game – betting that everyone will be moving towards sustainable options very soon! Plus yes there is something so lovely about natural materials.

We’re in the process of replacing our flooring at home and are in need of inspiration which this blog post has certainly given us.

Absolutely love the chevron design as it’s something I rarely see in homes – however that’ll soon change I expect.

Thanks for dropping by and leaving some feedback. Full on dark interiors definitely aren’t for everyone, and I guess it depends on the space too. But you’re right, the contrasting colours of the floor and units really make this space sing!

Really loving the first picture! For a dark flooring looks better with a contrasting white wall/white kitchen units, there is too much dark wood in the further down the image with the vertical wooden wall covering.
