Hi Stacey,
Yes, I love books too! In fact I've recently started using our local library more, in an effort to prevent its closure and have discovered some fabulous design books. My two current favourites:
Tricia Guild "A Certain Style" (2010) in which she explores colour, pattern and space. Exquisite photographs and her choice of colour combinations is so refreshing. Apart from this, the book itself is a joy to hold and read - the spine is covered in an incredibly tactile fabric, with vibrant colours throughout.
My second choice is a complete contrast in style: "Living in Provence - Interior Styles and Decoration", photographs by Solvi Dos Santos, text by Sara Walden, with a foreword by Terence Conran. Another beautiful book. Its photographs are full of atmosphere, conjuring up that laid-back pace of life; Provencal country living, a little shabby around the edges, rich with pattern and quirky accessories. Inspirational ideas and use of colour, which could easily be incorporated into a home of any size.
These two have got my brain buzzing!!
